Muğla's seafaring spirit is celebrating the May 19th Atatürk Commemoration, Youth and Sports Day with a historic event. Four of the region's oldest clubs – Bodrum Offshore Sailing Club (BAYK), Marmaris International Yacht Sport Club (MIYC), Datça Yacht Club, and Göcek Yacht Club Sports Association – have come together for the first time to form a united front for the "119 Miles 19 May Youth Cup".


This special race, realized with the support of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, is the first major event jointly organized by these four distinguished clubs. The aim is for this inaugural race to grow annually and become a tradition.


A NON-STOP CHALLENGE: 119 MILES! Competitors will push their limits on the challenging and fascinating route where the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas meet.


The race will start on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM from Bodrum.

Route: The sailboats will depart from the blue waters of Bodrum and head towards Marmaris in a non-stop voyage.

Finish: The challenging 119-mile race will conclude in Marmaris on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.


CLOSING CEREMONY IN MARMARIS

Following the arrival of the fleet, which will keep the spirit of May 19th alive at sea, in Marmaris, the magnificent closing and awards ceremony of the first race of this historic collaboration will be held under the auspices of MIYC.


FOUR CLUBS, ONE ROUTE, GREAT SUPPORT.

Organized jointly by BAYK, MIYC, Datça Yacht Sports Club, and Göcek Yacht Sports Club Association, this stage race was elevated to a professional level with the logistical and strategic contributions of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality. The organizing committee emphasizes that this collaboration will solidify Muğla's place in world sailing tourism and will be a great source of motivation for young athletes.
